Aloo tikki, also known as Aloo ki tikkia or Aloo ki tikki, is a snack originating from the Indian subcontinent. Aloo Tikki recipe that is crispy, crusty and so good. In Hindi language, aloo are potatoes and tikki are patties. So these are potato patties made the Indian way – spiced, herby and delicious.

I am a huge fan of potato recipes. be it a simple, chips, french fries or a bit more complicated recipes like potato nuggets or even potato bites. at the same time, there are quite a few desi snacks made with aloo. and aloo tikki should be the most popular one made out of it. the best part of aloo ki tikki is the versatility of it.




furthermore, some easy and important tips, suggestions and variations for a perfect crisp and tasty aloo tikki recipe. firstly, you need to be very careful while boiling the potatoes. you can use a pressure cooker to boil these but has to be removed from water immediately the pressure is released. otherwise the potatoes may absorb water and may not attain the tikki shape.

 secondly, I have added corn flour & bread crumbs which should bind the veggies together. the same can be done with  corn flakes or oats powder too. lastly, i have shallow fried these patties for less oil consumption. alternatively you can also deep fry for a better crisp and also taste.

Ingredients :

  • 04 Boiled Potatoes
  • 01 Cup Red Bell Pepper
  • 01 Cup Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 01 Cup Chopped Carrot
  • 01 Cup Boiled Corn
  • 02 Big Chopped Onions
  • Chopped Coriander
  • 02-3 Chopped Green Chilies
  • 01-2 Spoon Roasted Peanut Powder
  • 01 small spoon sugar
  • Salt as per taste
  • 01/2 Cup Corn Flour (optional)
  • 01tbsp chat masala
  • 01tbsp garam masala
  • Ketchup

For Coating:

  • Bread Crumbs
  • Rava
  • all purpose flour

Note : As per your choice you can change the vegetables proportions.
